of Pediatrics was founded in 1956 (1335 SH) with the participation of distinguished pioneers and leading figures in the history of pediatrics in Iran, with the aim of advancing scientific, research, and professional activities as a non-governmental and non-profit organization. Today, the pediatric medical community of Iran remains indebted to its founders and leaders.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Since October 2023 (Mehr 1402), with the efforts of several colleagues, the Society has expanded its activities. Given the growing number of pediatricians nationwide, the Society has initiated membership recruitment and established branches across various provinces. At present, many provinces have active branches affiliated with the central body of the Society, and it is planned that by next year, branches of the Iranian Society of Pediatricians will be established in all provinces.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">In response to the need for enhancing the academic and educational standards of its members, in addition to holding annual congresses, the Society regularly organizes lectures and continuing education programs throughout the year, aiming to raise awareness and update the knowledge of pediatricians across the country. Furthermore, in some provinces, seminars and lectures tailored to members\u2019 needs are also held in coordination with the central office.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">The Iranian Society of Pediatrics maintains active and effective cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and the Iranian Medical Council as two major institutions in professional and medical affairs. It also collaborates with other medical associations, organizations, and relevant bodies, providing expert and advisory opinions on educational, research, clinical, and professional matters.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">The Society is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members at the Annual General Assembly for a four-year term, pursuing the following objectives:<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Establishing scientific, professional, technical, research, and educational connections, and facilitating exchange of views between member scientific associations, researchers, specialists, experts, and institutions engaged in various branches of medical sciences.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Cooperating with all relevant legal entities, particularly ministries, universities, institutions, and educational\/research centers in planning educational, research, technical, and healthcare programs, and providing necessary recommendations based on the expert opinions of the Society\u2019s scientific members.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Coordinating, guiding, and collaborating on educational, scientific, professional, research, and technical services provided by member associations.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Securing support from international institutions for projects in scientific, professional, research, and technical fields both domestically and internationally, within the framework of national laws and regulations, and facilitating the participation of member associations.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Addressing and following up on issues and challenges faced by the medical community, such as tariffs, taxation, and related matters.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Cooperating with medical associations in the field of public health education and specialized technical issues through mass media.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Preparing, compiling, and publishing scientific, educational, and informational journals, and collaborating with medical associations in organizing educational and research congresses, and continuing medical education seminars at national and international levels.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Coordinating the activities of various member medical associations and resolving disputes or potential conflicts among them.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Providing advisory and expert opinions on all professional issues related to the medical community.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Strengthening relations among member associations and encouraging academic and research institutions to pursue the Society\u2019s objectives.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Promoting and expanding medical ethics to safeguard the mutual rights of patients and healthcare professionals by establishing relations with relevant institutions.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Serving as an expert body for the evaluation and review of educational, research, and executive institutions.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Familiarizing member associations with new scientific developments.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Exchanging information and experiences among member associations to expand their activities and unify practices.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Organizing scientific gatherings at national, regional, and international levels, or cooperating in their organization.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Recognition, commendation, and awarding of prizes on special occasions.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Striving to secure funding, financial resources, and required facilities for the Society.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Offering services and solutions in the field of scientific arbitration.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Pursuing welfare benefits, scientific privileges, and facilities for the community.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Undertaking any other activities deemed necessary within the framework of the Society\u2019s Articles of Association, while adhering to relevant national laws and regulations.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">In other provinces, with the presence of a representative from the Society\u2019s Board of Directors, a provincial branch is established consisting of five to seven members who serve as the local Board of Directors. Their responsibilities include:<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Collaborating with the central Society to achieve the objectives of the Iranian Society of Pediatricians.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Engaging with local authorities and influential regional organizations.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Utilizing regional capacities and resources.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Proposing solutions to issues specific to each province.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Identifying capable professionals across the country.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Delivering region-based training programs.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">Coordinating and harmonizing the activities of members within the province.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">These provincial boards are entrusted with managing the Society\u2019s affairs in their respective regions.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">With the approval of the Board of Directors, the Society has also established various executive and scientific-specialized committees to help achieve its objectives. Members of the Society may participate in these committees according to their interests and fields of expertise.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"p\" dir=\"ltr\">The official website of the Society,
